What Does the Herald Do?
Heralds perform many valuable services for the populace. They help people who wish to develop and register their names or devices with the SCA. It is the heralds who make announcements during tourneys and throughout events to keep the populace informed and aware of important news & upcoming activities. At an event, see a court herald if you need to arrange for a presentation or announcement, especially if it needs to happen during court.
Who Holds this Office?
The College of St. David is in abeyance and has no official herald of its own. Persons interested in becoming the College Herald should contact the Caer Darth Seneschal.
To consult with an experienced herald, contact:
- Maxen Dawel ap Morgan (former West Kingdom submissions herald) for help developing or registering SCA names and devices.
- Naadirah bint ‘Ali for general information about SCA names & devices, titles and order of precedence, or how to become a herald.
