We Need Staff!
Please help! Until someone steps up to the plate to put together an actual newsletter, the best we can do is the website and possibly a flyer with upcoming info.
The Harbinger is quite new in its rebirth. We are not sure how long it has been dormant, nor do we have any past issues. All we had was the name. We've had a couple of really great issues (Thanks Erica!), but now we are virtually starting from scratch. If you have have experience in the production of newsletters or other publications, or would like such experience, or would like experience as a staff writer and you are a student at UCSC, please email the Caer Darth Seneschal.
(If you are not a UCSC student you are still welcome to submit articles and suggestions. We would welcome some assistance in production, but being official staff would be tricky since our funding comes from the school.)
Submission guidelines
Article and/or artwork submissions should relate to either the SCA, or history or culture of the period aprox. 600-1600 ad. Articles, essays, drawings, photos, comics, jokes, songs and stories are all acceptable mediums.
Please email written or artwork submissions to the Caer Darth Seneschal. Please retain a copy of the article for your own records: email can be unreliable. To send hardcopy of anything, please email the seneschal for an address.
We retain the rights to reject material on any grounds. The main reasons for this include overly explicit or derogatory material, material which does not follow the principles of the SCA or which in any way could be taken as overly offensive. We will also most likely reject submissions which do not relate to the main subjects covered by the Harbinger.
Submissions Deadline
Submissions are accepted at all times.
